Oil Filter Replacement Instructions for GLW FS / GHH Mobile Systems

GLW oil filters will lose its cleaning properties over time and will need to be replaced eventually. Your GLW authorized dealer / workshop will be able to advise you on when is the appropriate time to change your filter on your the FS / GHH Filtration System.

  1. Switch off the system and disconnect the heating element from the power supply. Allow the evaporator head to cool down for 20 ~ 30 minutes before proceeding to change the filter.
  2. Using a 13mm spanner, loosen the nuts securing the evaporator head.
  3. Swing down the holding bolts and remove the evaporator head.
  4. Remove and dispose the used oil filter & rubber O-ring properly.
  5. Using a 5mm Allen key or hex wrench, take out the metering jet and clean it with compressed air.
  6. Start the system for a few seconds to clear out any debris or contaminants that maybe present in the hose.
  7. Replace the metering jet.
  8. Insert the new filter into the FS system and place the new rubber O-ring on top of the filter.
  9. Replace the evaporator head. Swing up the holding bolts and tighten the nuts to secure the evaporator head.
  10. Start the system. Check for any leakage of oil from the evaporator head or connectors. Ensure the oil level in the flow gauge is at the correct level. Perform remedy if necessary.
  11. Ensure system is running smoothly before connecting back the heating element to the power supply.
  12. Gently touch the heating element cap after 3 to 5 minutes after operations. The heating element cap should feel hot when working properly.
  13. Check the oil level using the dipstick. Top up with new engine oil if necessary until desired level.
  14. The GLW oil filter has been successfully replaced.

NOTE: ONLY CONNECT THE HEATING ELEMENT BACK TO THE POWER SUPPLY AFTER ENSURING THE SYSTEM IS RUNNING PROPERLY.
